Adding Text to a Template

Products that have the option for custom text often include default text in their design templates. To customize, all you need to do is update the default text with your own information. Some products, such as business cards and brochures, give you the option to add more text boxes if you need them.

To update default text:

  1. In the product template, click the text you want to change. If it isn’t already active, the formatting toolbar appears above the template.
  2. In the text entry field below the formatting toolbar, type or paste text to replace the default text highlighted blue. The new text appears automatically in the template.

To add a new text box to a product template:

  1. Click + ADD TEXT. (Note: This button is available only if your product template has the option for additional text.) If it isn’t already active, the formatting toolbar appears above the template.
  2. In the text entry field below the formatting toolbar, type or paste text to replace the default text highlighted blue. Your text appears automatically in the new text box in the template.

TIP: Text and image boxes stack on the template in the order that you add them. Plan for how you want all the elements of your design to work together. For example, if you want text to appear on top of a background image, first add the image and then add the text.
